Our professor, Sung-Hyon Myaeng, is invited as the speaker for the “Big Data” session in Contech 2011.

This is the International Symposium on Convergence Technologies(ConTech 2011). This Symposium brings together world renowned experts in various disciplines to address the challenging technological and social issues in making the world more intelligent and humane place to live. Each session is organized around a common theme that requires a multidisciplinary approach to bring about innovative solutions. The current status and the future directions on convergence technologies that can involve interdisciplinary, inter-organizational and international collaboration are presented.

Yuchang Song, Intel-DST Asia Pacific Challenge 2011

Yuchang Song, one of our lab member, made a team for Intel-DST Asia Pacific Challenge 2011.
They went to a competition selecting a national team in Korea and they were selected!

The Intel-DST Asia Pacific Challenge 2011 is an Technology Innovation Challenge program led by: Intel and DST – Government of India together with Implementation partners~ Asia Pacific Incubation Network (APIN), Ayala Foundation, Ayala TBI – Technology Business Incubator.

Intel-DST Asia Pacific Challenge 2011 is a competition for High Tech, High Growth technology innovations in Biotechnology, Health and Biomedicine; IT for Agriculture; Education; Energy, Environment and Clean Technology; IT for Disabled’ Electronics and Communications and Country Specific Theme. This covers10-Asia Pacific countries – Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

Five (5) Technology innovations from each country will be short-listed, participate for a finale in India, undergo one month mentoring, land one of the top spots and share a $15,000.00 cash prize, and participate in the Intel – University of California (Berkley) Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge program in November 2011.
